Powell River is located on the British Columbia mainland approximately 100 miles (50 Kilometers) northwest of Vancouver. Separated from the Lower Sunshine Coast by Jervis Inlet, it can be reached from Vancouver by ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, driving from Langdale to Earls Cove on Highway 101, and taking a second ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay and the Upper Sunshine Coast. If you prefer to fly, Pacific Coastal Airlines has several direct flights per day out of Vancouver International Airports South terminal. You can also get here from Vancouver Island by way of ferry from Little River terminal which docks downtown Powell River at the Westview Harbor.
